Join the Encore Semi Verification / Validation team to collaborate with customers to design, verify and bring up new boards to support new RF focused FPGA and ASIC products.  You will build on your background of board level design and system bring-up to deliver complex, innovative hardware designs for advanced new products.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:

Be a member of Hardware board level team developing a new complex design including RF, high-speed digital and mixed-signal PCB design. You will be responsible for board design process including schematic capture, PCB stack up, PCB layout and design verification testing of the board. You will drive system level architecture working closely with software development team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as design and CAD by leveraging domain-specific expertise, sharing, and coordinating prototyping efforts, testing, and support. Ability to contribute seamlessly as a member of the board design team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 to 7 years of industry experience in System Architecture and Hardware Board level RF/baseband/digital circuit design
• Experience with the complex board design process including schematic capture, PCB stack up, PCB layout (14+ layers), BOM management and design verification testing
• Experience with high-speed (5Gbps or higher) interfaces, such as PCIe and SERDES board designs
• Experience with CPU and FPGA (Xilinx and/or Altera) board design, and be able to utilize HDI structures
• Experience with SDRAM and DDR3/DDR4 discrete component board designs
• Familiar with standard interfaces and peripherals such as I2C, JTAG, UART, SPI, SD Card
• Experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner/Expedition, Vivado, Hyperlinx, Excel
• Hands on experience with using with using common test lab equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, Network Analyzers and protocol analyzers
• Generate required drawings and documentation for testing, manufacturing, product specification etc.
• BSEE required

Preferred Qualifications:

• System architecture design experience and board debug
• Board level bring-up, and test in RF/baseband/digital CPU and FPGA hardware
• Power supply discrete component design experience
• Experience with circuit and layout simulation and analysis, high-speed design concepts, signal integrity and PDN simulations
• MSEE preferred
