Sr System Hardware Engineer ( Onsite - San Jose CA)

Job Title: Sr Systems Hardware Engineer
Full-time + Benefits + Bonuses
Work Status: US Citizen / US Permanent Resident
Location: San Jose CA ( Onsite only)

This job is focused on H/W Engineering, and you will be working closely with realizing designs, bring-up, and productization of PCB boards and platforms. The board implementation is focused on Machine Learning, and you will take the boards through bring-up and debug, characterization, customer samples, leading up to production. This role requires significant cross-functional collaboration with internal customers.  

Drive internal validation, bring up, productize to ensure boards and platforms meet critical internal customer specifications and timelines. 
Work with ops, silicon, SW, and validation teams 

Required:  
BSEE or BSCE degree (Master’s degree is a plus) 
Minimum 10+ years of work experience in PCB board or Systems Engineering 
Experience in High Performance Compute (HPC) debugging, validation and performance testing that includes applicable leading-edge interfaces such as; LPDDR5, PCIe Gen5, 10GB Ethernet, SerDes, MIPI. 
Experience in the use of high-end lab equipment: oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and more. 

Desired: 
Strong analysis ability regarding board debugging. 
Familiar with debug of industry interfaces for embedded systems such as I2C/SPI, MDIO, Aardvak adapter, UART and JTAG. 
Hands-on experience with high-speed oscilloscopes and how to measure the clock, noise, capture the Enable/PG/Reset/ power sequence. 
Familiar with Python and how to boot-up the system.  
Networking protocol analyzers for PCIe is a big plus. 
ASIC characterization. 

PCB manufacturing, assembly, and testing is a plus. 
Knowledge of Quality, and Reliability of PCB products is a plus.  
 

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is between $135,000 to $145,000, which also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
