About the Team:
The growing Encore Semi Firmware Development / Firmware test team collaborates with customers to develop “bare metal” and above Firmware to enable the productization of SOC controllers for SSDs. The team develops Firmware for all aspects required to enable productization of SSD SOC controllers including code enabling Host Interface (NVMe/PCIe, SATA, etc) features, coordinating functions within the controller and code to optimally interface with the Storage media.  Come join the team to collaborate with many SSD controller developers to deliver next generation Storage products.

About the Project:
The Encore Semi Firmware Development team delivers the entire FW stack for current and next generation SSD controllers for Enterprise SSDs.  Collaborations with Encore Semi customers include customizing and configuring the Firmware for existing products based on different requirements coming from multiple SSD end-users and developing and adding new features to next generation controllers for NVMe-based products.  Projects include development across the entire FW stack including Host Interfaces, SSD Controller internal operations and Media Interfaces.  The team works closely as a part of the overall SSD Controller development team including other Firmware Developers as well as the Hardware Development teams.  The team works on models of controller designs while the controller hardware is still being designed as well as on the new controller silicon.  The team continues to grow and offers opportunities to work on multiple different controller designs over time.
